The discovery or observation of rare or scarce birds ("rarities") is the icing on the cake for many birdwatchers. But sometimes it is difficult to distinguish them from the species which are common, so a photographic documentation that removes all doubts is of great importance. Often one cannot approach the rare guests as closely as the Blackbird in the garden - but sometimes it works.
Just as exciting as photographing birds is to set other animals, plants or landscapes in scene. However, this has not been the focus (of Thorsten's interest) up to now and was only done
